The client knew exactly what she wanted and we got the design spot on the first time. We pre made the kitchen in our workshop, and fitted swiftly. This caused very little disruption to the main renovation project.
We worked closely with this family to design and deliver a kitchen that suited their exact requirements.
My new kitchen is so beautiful! Francois has designed me a kitchen far beyond my expectations, adding ideas and coming up with lots of imaginative and beautiful solutions to problems. His skill, care, attention to detail and style is exceptional. When it came to fitting, Francois and his team were so professional and on more then one occasion he went the extra mile in his commitment to the project and making my ideas and vision into a reality.

Project: Cape Town
We designed and created this kitchen with the clients colourful and playful lifestyle in mind.We wanted to create something unusual in the kitchen in terms of design, but still keeping it very practical as cooking and baking is a family affair in this home.
We achieved this we clever secret pantry behind the larder units. A full size piece of Silestone quartz work surface for the island with ample drawer storage underneath.
The hob has a 180 degree view of the open plan lounge and dining area.
The client had shown us a single image from Pinterest. The theme as you can see is raw oak and clean white. The design went through many stages, some even during the build. It may work on paper, but when you have real material in your hand I believe that is when the true creation comes in to play.
Wood Works Brighton were shortlisted from design and build this amazing kitchen for a new build home in Ivy Hatch.
We believe it was our subtle ( but impactful) idea of the hidden walk in pantry that swung in our favour. This lovely luxury country home in Seven Oaks suited itself to an in frame shaker kitchen. All the cabinets are hand crafted in Birch ply wood.
Wood Works Brighton were shortlisted to build this stunning bespoke kitchen in a passive new build home in the heart of Sussex.
Sally absolutely fell in love with the idea of using up cycled oak from old barns and railway sleepers from France. We also introduced 100% rubber as a finish for the island doors. The work tops are a beautiful black granite with a hidden pull out trolly underneath the island.
A great example of classic in frame shaker kitchen. This bespoke kitchen is all about the finer details. Solid Oak dovetail drawers. A bespoke pantry and cocktail bar.
We were approached by Scott Batty Architect to finalise the design and build this beautiful black kitchen. The design based on the house which has black slates covering the perimeter. The 2 main materials are Birch ply wood, Oak and Formica. We chamfered the back of the doors the create a handless look. Both islands are wrapped in Oak that was hand stained. The main bank of units houses the fridge, freezer and ovens.
We also created a white wash room in total contrast.
Rachel and Sarah commissioned our team to design build their dream kitchen in Worthing. We used olive green on the doors and fluted Oak as the feature. Sarah handmade the lovely tall Oak handles.
We were approached by a lovely young couple who had a modest budget for their new kitchen. The main material they wanted to use was raw birch ply.
Even though the space was limiting, we still managed to fit every essential element into this kitchen, including a a pantry and utility room with the clever use of Birch ply partitions.
The hole handles is our custom little feature to add that extra touch of individuality.
This couple had a side extension built into their terraced house in Brighton. We knew the light would flood the kitchen with whole roof covered in glass, so we chose to use Fenix for its amazing qualities of absorbing light. The opposite side of the kitchen is a beautiful golden oak. The work surface is quartz which is very easy to maintain and adds a touch of luxury.
“Calling yourself a ‘carpenter’ is like Le Corbusier calling himself a builder. I exaggerate, but only for effect. Wood Works is the real deal: Francois and his team are capable of very high levels of design artistry and near perfection in execution. They built a bespoke kitchen for me (a very specific and quirky design wanted and delivered) and two staircases (they’re pieces of sculpture and have transformed the interior of my house).” – Michael Wohl
“We are so happy with the high quality craftsmanship of our kitchen, and the team at wood works Brighton were great at helping us achieve our vision!”
Nick & Helen Eadie
Nick & Helen and showed us one picture of the sort of style they wanted. We then designed the kitchen around their life style and the shape of the room. We are always delighted when clients choose bold colours. After all, you are commissioning a bespoke kitchen so we encourage clients to think outside the box.
A beautiful handcrafted kitchen to compliment this great room with incredibly tall ceiling and detailed coving. We worked closely with our client to come develop a design that was practical whilst not too imposing. The island has wheels so it can be moved out of the way when the party gets started.
“Brighton wood works were recommended by the design company we engaged with.
They are a young and extremely committed company who are passionate about their work and the natural products they use. Francois leads a very personable team who are highly efficient. They work very very hard , start early and stay late to achieve the very best outcomes for their clients.
Well done and thanks to all !!!”

This design was a joint operation between us and the client based on the classic American aero caravan, with a few modern tweaks of course. We were presented with many challenges, which we overcame. These are the kinds of projects that we love to get stuck into.
Everyone loves this twist on the plain English shaker kitchen, and so do we. The idea was to find a balance between a traditional style in a very new modern extension, with a hint of Scandinavia. We achieved this with clean soft lines and hand painted finish. This kitchen just works beautifully.
“Great service and quality workmanship from start to finish from the whole team when designing and fabricating our kitchen and bespoke stairs. Everything was completed to a very high standard. I would not hesitate in recommending Francois and his team to anyone.”
We were commissioned to design and build a new kitchen for this terraced side extension. The clients were quite specific about their style and ideas. After a few variations they fell in love with the floating island idea with fluted solid Utile. The Island top is 100% rubber and the main kitchen run work top is recycled resin and plastic. The cut out handles are replicas of an existing midcentury sideboard.
“Less is more”
We love the simplicity of this kitchen, the clean crisp lines that draw your eye to the outside. As minimal as this kitchen may seem, its owners are very keen cooks and bakers. They are delighted with how well it functions.
It has a slight Japanese feel to it.
The two main materials are Birch ply and white laminate.
We were asked to design and build this amazing bespoke kitchen for a family who loves entertaining guests, but also required a perfect balance for everyday family life. The biggest difference that separates this kitchen from any other is the “requested” high counters. 1100mm instead of the more standard 910mm. This did throw us a few curve balls with appliances and all sorts of new available space. The look is clean, simple but very sticking. We love the extra high white cabinets.
We were contacted by a new client who’d been to all the usual high street kitchen companies as well as bespoke. However, none of them could or were willing to deliver their dream kitchen. The minute I talked with the client, I knew we could and wanted to execute this curved oak kitchen. The kitchen was to go into a new build modern Oast house in Kent. All the doors, cabinets and work surface had to be curved to the same shape as the interior walls. The end result is one of our all time favourite
