Our story
I started my architectural journey as a child in my father’s architectural office in Warsaw, Poland. In 2005, I moved to London to study for Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Architecture. Since then I also completed MSc in Architecture and Urban Planning and a postgraduate degree in Management and Property Development. I have been working in architectural roles since 2010 and gained a wealth of experience over all project stages and many project types including residential, commercial, mixed-use, healthcare and educational projects. I worked on projects varying in scale from small house extensions to new-build 100+ units developments. My experience encompasses a variety of styles and budgets, from basic, functional designs to high-end developments. I also have some experience in high-end interiors. I have a deep interest in spatial aesthetics and its influence on mood, perception and behaviour. I like to explore this both scientifically and empirically and therefore I do not impose my own style, but focus on the client’s unique needs and the constrains of the spatial context. Zuza Designs is a new company and my first attempt at gaining full independence and control over the services that I provide. Unable to use portfolio from past employment for advertising, I can offer now the best value for money in order to build a portfolio of my own.

Project: Minimalist energy efficient home
2015
I designed this energy efficient single family home for a private client. The shape of the building is concise to reduce heat loss and the design allows extra thermal insulation. It has mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and the windows and shading overhangs are positioned in a way that allows solar gain during the cold months of the year but not around noon during summer months. When positioning the windows, I also considered privacy and other functional constrains. Most of the building
