Our story

MAAD Studio is a small, friendly design-led architectural practice based in Sheffield. We specialise primarily in the design and delivery of residential projects across Yorkshire and Derbyshire. Our primary services include initial design concept ideas through to planning and building regulation sign off.

We believe that good design is an agent of positive change, and all our work is about building relationships that develop and evolve throughout the creative process. Our projects are the result of rich and constructive discourse with our clients.

Our practice tackles the trinity of design, cost and value in a manner that is holistic and meaningful. This inclusive approach informs all our work and helps the studio achieve the client’s aspirations with best value.

We use 3D software throughout the design process, which forms a very effective communication tool with our clients. Enabling them to ‘walk through’ and visualise the design, allowing discussions to help develop the design until they are satisfied before any site work has commenced.

Our architects have gained legal training through their accredited Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Parts 1,2 and RIBA Part 3 (Professional Practice) qualifications and are members of the Architects Registration Board (ARB).
