Project: Plantroom A house in West London
PLANTROOM is the project for the ground floor renovation of a Victorian terraced house in West London, in need of natural light and a seamless connection to the garden. The new glass roof and glass façade provide the perfect setting for a growing indoor jungle to house the new kitchen and dining area. The Client's comments: "Sophie is a magician!
Sophie has changed my life in every sense by turning a dark, dull, lifeless space into an enlightened spacious one loaded with light and life"

Project: Casa Del Sol
Casa Del Sol is the remodelling of a Victorian House in Lambeth. It includes new bedroom and bathrooms, and an extension on the lower ground floor to create a new dining and kitchen area. The garden has been pulled back to create a seamless connection between the living spaces and the outdoors. An innovative glazed gap is created to define the new living space.

Project: London Art de Vivre
There are not many undiscovered properties ripe for redevelopment left in North Kensington in London, so the buyers of this house were very excited to uncover this gem. They had found a large family house, cluttered by furniture and partitions, lacking light and warmth, and feeling slightly musty. Their brief for Sophie Nguyen Architects was to clean up and clarify the existing space, re-find the dignity of the impressive interior volumes, add an extension facing the garden and let the light in!
