Designfarm Architects

"We believe in people, the planet, aspiration & collaboration"

We believe in working with you to create well crafted, unique spaces that enhance how we live, work and play. By using materials honestly, sensitively and creatively we believe that great architecture can be produced within all sites and all budgets.

With over ten years experience within the architectural profession, in both large and small practice environments, we firmly believe that the primary function of the architect is to listen to the client, to understand and elevate their aspirations.

Architecture can not be about working within a set style but must be borne out of a response to the site and its surroundings and as such is always unique. Design is a collaborative process based on a shared desire to build better spaces.

dominique farmer

BA(Hons) DipArch ARB

Dominique is an architect with experience across many sectors including commercial, sport and healthcare. Her passion, however, lies within the residential sector. Her residential experience ranges from large urban developments and masterplans to one-off private houses, from small extensions to large renovations, both within conservation and contemporary design.

Having spent significant time working for internationally renowned, London based architects and award winning, Cotswold based architects, Dominique is well versed in the intricacies of designing spaces for living on all scales. She has gained successful planning applications in a number of difficult and sensitive sites, including within conservation areas and areas of outstanding natural beauty.

When not at work, Dominique can often be found running around on adventures with their two young daughters or up in the vegetable patch fighting slugs.

dan farmer

BA(Hons) DipArch(dist) MArch ARB RIBA

Dan is an architect who has experience in multiple sectors including residential, office, medical research and mixed-use schemes. Since graduating, he has worked for a number of internationally successful architectural practices and is an Associate Lecturer at the University of West England (UWE).

Throughout his career, he has developed techniques to generate, develop and represent new architectural and spatial possibilites through film, animation and motion graphics. This is something that he continues to explore through his own research and for architectural clients. His work has been exhibited across London, including the Barbican and the Institute of Contemporary Arts, and published in a number of architectural publications.

Dan loves films, everything from everywhere, Michel Gondry to Tarzem. When he’s not being terrorised by his daughters, he can often been found hitting things with sticks, or ‘drumming’ as he likes to call it.
